Liability InsuranceCommercial Liability Insurance
Liability insurance covers injuries that you cause to third parties. If someone sues you for personal injuries or property damage, the cost of defending and resolving the suit would be covered by your liability insurance policy. A general liability policy will cover you for common risks, including customer injuries on your premises. Liability insurance includes:
Commercial General Liability (CGL): CGL Insurance is a standard insurance policy issued to businesses to protect them when negligent acts and/or omissions result in bodily injury and/or property damage on the premises of a business, when someone is injured as the result of using the product manufactured or distributed by a business, or when someone is injured in the general operation of a business The CGL policy also protects businesses against advertising and personal injury liability claims. We recognize that every business is different and when we place a client's CGL with one of our carriers, we do the research to make sure that the policy fits their business needs. Let us do the work to find the right CGL Policy for your business.
Commercial Auto: Commercial auto includes those autos titled to a business or used in the course of doing business. Some businesses add hired and non-owned auto liability or a variety of other endorsements to insure their businesses' needs. We have multiple carriers who will insure public auto, livery exposures, garage liability, towing operations, trucking operations, cargo coverage and delivery exposures. We can provide this coverage in a package or insure the automobile on a mono-line policy. Our commercial auto insurance plans offer premium protection for your business's small or large vehicles and drivers.
Commercial Umbrella Policies: A business or commercial umbrella policy picks up when and if your commercial auto liability, general liability or other liability coverage is exhausted. Standard business liability coverage will take care of you in most circumstances, but when serious situations arise, umbrella liability insurance will help ensure that your business is protected. While no one wants accidents to happen, they do – and people sue. As a Business owner, you need to make sure that your business is protected against liability lawsuits and umbrella insurance is an inexpensive way to provide extra coverage.
Directors & Officers (D&O): D&O liability insurance protects past, present and future directors and officers of for-profit or nonprofit companies from damages resulting from alleged or actual wrongful acts they may have committed in their positions. The policy provides protection in the event of any actual or alleged error, misstatement, omission, misleading statement, or breach of duty.
Errors and Omissions (E&O): To put it very simply, everyone makes mistakes. Even with the best employees and the best risk management practices in place, mistakes are made. E&O is the insurance that covers your company, or you individually, in the event that a client holds you responsible for a service you provided, failed to provide, or that did not have the expected or promised results. For doctors, dentists, chiropractors, etc., it is often called malpractice insurance. For lawyers, accountants, architects or engineers, it may be called professional liability. Whatever you call it, it covers you for errors (or omissions) that you have made or that the client perceives you have made.
